The Red River Valley Echo newspaper awarded Carol first place for her story Christmas Hankies Now and Then. Our Canada magazine printed January Polish in its December/January 2008 issue. Friendly folksy Canadian Stories magazine has published some of her writings.

Carol was awarded an Abbotsford Arts Council 2009 Arty Award- Outstanding Literary Artist for The Slipper Tree.

Carol is a member of WriteOn, a group of writers and artists in Abbotsford, B.C.

For years Carol anticipated producing a children's hold-in-your-hand book. She wanted to add a twinkle to the eyes of young readers. Creativity and work gave birth to The Slipper Tree for her children, grandchildren and for yours.
